![]() With all the Influence gained earlier, frequently call for Munitions drops, and use several accrued mines outside the gates (in front of the short brick walls). SIEGES: Enable mine traps!! Drive 2 small cars inside the compound from the one gate accessible by the road (south of the East gate), and park them parallel to the North and East gates, as close to the gates as possible. I set the Ops Center to find stranded soldiers, over the course of the game that usually yields 2 or 3 more soldiers to help with sieges. I think the Generator (and solar upgrade) aren't that helpful, instead I setup a second bunks tent, allowing everyone to rest more (Surgery Tent, Ammunition Workshop, and Latrine are my other three slots). You can upgrade your HQ during this time as well. Take all the time in the world here - you could empty the whole map if you wanted (just stay away from the street Horn and the downed chopper are on, so you don't trigger the mission). Empty entire quadrants, set up outposts, and even head back to the LZ repeatedly to empty your rucksacks. Like the first mission (Head To The LZ), there is no ticking clock here, unlike later High Value Targets. ![]() Thomas Horn, you can go on a scavenging binge and loot to your heart's content. Bogatz a lot easier later on, and the outpost takes out a lot of hordes because it is adjacent to the freeway. I like to head north to the 'Chinatown' section (accessible only by foot) and turn the warehouse there into an outpost (and empty the nearby Pharmacy and campsites). ![]() I've played the game several times now, and if you want an optimal experience that is a little more stress-free (especially during sieges) here are some tips:Īt the beginning of the game, do NOT go to the LZ, instead veer off course and do some scavenging. ![]()
